Glasgow Rangers FC has agreed a partnership with Troy United

Scotland’s most successful soccer team Glasgow Rangers FC has agreed a partnership with Troy United Soccer Club the Missouri based club.

Troy United Soccer Club coaches and players will have the opportunity to work with the Academy coaches of Glasgow Rangers FC in both North America and Scotland, offering an insight into the player development program of one of Scotland’s greatest Soccer Academies. Troy United Soccer Club coaches are invited to come to Glasgow, Scotland and study the Glasgow Rangers FC player development program.

Part of the agreement will see Glasgow Rangers FC North American Academy hosting a series of Showcase ID Events with Troy United Soccer Club in the 2014 season. Glasgow Rangers FC will send some of their Academy staff over to work with the players of Troy United Soccer Club at these events. The best male and female players at these events will be invited to go to the Glasgow Rangers FC National Camp where the top players from all of their partner clubs will be invited. From this camp the very best will be invited to travel to Murray Park the Glasgow Rangers FC Training Academy in Glasgow, Scotland and train with Glasgow Rangers FC’s youth teams.

Mr. Robert Roddie of the Glasgow Rangers FC North American Academy says that he is very impressed with the Troy United Soccer Club program, vision and goals and is looking forward to a promising future and relationship with Troy United Soccer Club.

Daniel Olstad, Technical Director of Troy United said, “I am very excited about joining Glasgow Rangers FC as part of their North American Academy. To be joining such a storied club in Scotland, and Europe is a huge step in the continued growth of Troy United. This partnership will only enhance the overall mission of player development that, we as a club, is focused on. Not only will our players see enhanced opportunities with the ability to work with and be seen by Rangers academy staff, but with Rangers FC support we will be able to further coaching education and give parents more resources as well. This partnership between Glasgow Rangers FC and TUSC, further shows the commitment we have made to high quality player development since the club was founded in 2009”.

All Troy United Soccer Club players will be provided with a Glasgow Rangers FC North American Academy sleeve patch to put on their game uniform(s).
