Soccer Shots is a program that introduces soccer to children ages 3-6 at preschools and child care centers all over the St. Charles area. We are currently expanding and need three to five instructors to help us run Soccer Shots sessions at preschools and child care centers in St. Charles County.
This is a part time and seasonal position and can be somewhat flexible, depending on your schedule. The classes are during the week, typically in the morning between 9:00 – 11:30 or in the afternoon after 2:30. Each class is 30 to 40 minutes long. We provide training, equipment, and all curriculum materials. We pay $20 for each session you run. At some centers, there will be multiple classes, meaning you could run 2 or even 3 classes in a row.
The ideal instructor meets the following criteria:
Responsible – arrives on time to each session, can handle a group of 10 or more children, keeps accurate attendance, communicates well with Soccer Shots Director, etc.
Professional – neat in appearance, friendly and courteous with child care center staff and director, self assured
Enthusiastic – Must enjoy young kids, be able to connect with kids ages 3-6, must make the Soccer Shots class the best 30 minutes of their week, etc.
Soccer – professional experience is not required; however, prior experience as a player and/or coach is highly desired.
In addition to the above, a successful candidate must be drug-free and pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check.
We are currently seeking applicants for our upcoming 10-week Fall season, starting August 30th. If you meet the criteria listed above and have further interest in a position, please email us at Cody@soccershots.org
