WHAT IS SLYSA?
The St. Louis Youth Soccer Association was founded in 1975 and incorporated as a non profit organization in 1976. SLYSA operates competitive soccer leagues for boys and girls, ages 6 to 19, regardless of race, color, or creed. The major objective of the organization is to develop, promote, and provide top level competition for youth soccer in the greater St. Louis area. We are affiliated with the Missouri Youth Soccer Association (MYSA), Illinois Youth Soccer (IYSA), and the United States Youth Soccer Association.(USYSA)
The league has grown from 500 youth players to over 15,000 boys and girls representing over 1000 teams. Many of the SLYSA teams have won Regional and National Championships. SLYSA has also furnished colleges, US National, World Cup, professional and amateur teams in many parts of the country and world with outstanding players that started their soccer careers with this organization.
SLYSA is completely self-funded and only receives revenue from league fees, advertising fees, and donations. The organization owns it’s own soccer complex located at 3901 Huster Rd. in St. Charles county. The facility consists of 104 acres of land and has 17 fields. It is the largest soccer complex in the St. Louis area. The multi-million dollar complex was created by and is owned by the member clubs and teams.
